The purpose of the consultancy was to carry out the Final Evaluation of the project “Planting and harvesting water, water services canon and recognition of payment for environmental services, within the framework of South-South cooperation”. The overall objective of this project was to improve water supply in semi-arid tropical dry forest areas with payment for environmental services in Costa Rica and the implementation of a system of payment for ecosystem services and water canon in Peru, which allows the conservation, management and recovery of watersheds. The intervention areas in Costa Rica have been the Cañas and Bagaces regions of Guanacaste, and in Peru the Piura region, Ayabaca province, Pacaipampa district, and the Ayacucho region, Cachis watershed. This project is part of the Forests, Biodiversity and Ecosystems Sector (FBE) of the EUROCLIMA+ program.
