Promoting a cluster approach for agricultural diversification in Guyana

The objective of the consultancy was to collaborate with IDB’s team in the preparation and design of 3 projects for approval by the MIF Donor Committee in the agricultural sector of Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad and Tobago, which will link small farmers with large companies’ Value Chains or with local and foreign markets. The objective was to increase the income of these small producers of cocoa (Trinidad), cassava (Jamaica), and non- traditional crops (Guyana).
To develop the projects, it was necessary to travel to the countries to work with the executing institutions and other project stakeholders, formulate the projects, design the logical frameworks, estimate the budget of the operations and write the project documents necessary for the approval (operational regulations, project execution plans, milestones, indicators, etc.)
The three projects were approved by the MIF Donors Committe
