The purpose of the consultancy was to reformulate the Program for the creation, development and linkage of SMEs for the Strengthening of Regional Economies, called “Communities with Value – Developing Inclusive Linkages”, currently implemented by the Empretec Foundation and Banco de la Nación Argentina, in order to adapt it to the format and requirements established by multilateral credit organizations, such as CAF or the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The main objective of the Communities with Value Program is to promote the generation of links between real business opportunities arising from the demand of large companies in the area and suppliers (entrepreneurs and SMEs) and their sustainability. To achieve this objective, the Program includes the implementation of the following components: i) Awareness and selection of beneficiaries; ii) Training, including the successful “Empretec” workshop for entrepreneurs; iii) Technical assistance for the development of business plans and monitoring of their evolution; and iv) Financing for working capital and investments.
