Mojana Climate and Life Program

The purpose of the consultancy was to conduct the Intermediate Evaluation of the “Mojana, Climate and Life” Program implemented by the Adaptation Fund, the Ministry of Environment and the United Nations Development Program in partnership with local governments and communities in 11 municipalities of La Mojana. The program aims to improve the climate resilience of vulnerable communities in the La Mojana region during prolonged flood and drought seasons, as well as the impact on rural populations and local governments. The initiative directly involves 203,918 people and benefits more than 400,000 inhabitants of the region. The Program bases its interventions on gender, age and ethnic approaches, to understand the characteristics, problems, needs, interests and particular interpretations that women, youth and the Zenú people have about climate change, and to jointly build measures, plans and actions that respond to these particularities.
