The objective of the consultancy was to evaluate the progress made in achieving the objectives and results of the project “Integrated management for the elimination of mercury in the ASGM sector in Colombia”. The first signs of success or failure were analyzed in order to identify any changes needed to get the project back on track and achieve the desired results. The MTR reviewed the project’s strategy, cross-cutting issues, follow-up and monitoring plans, its gender plan, and its sustainability risks according to UNDP and GEF standards.
This project is part of the global planetGOLD program, which is implemented in 23 countries by United Nations agencies such as UNDP, UNEP and UNIDO.
