Development and Implementation of a Local Economic Development (LED) Framework for Regions with Extractive Industries

The objective of the consultancy was to work with the team of the project named “Development and Implementation of a Local Economic Development (LED) Framework for Regions with Extractive Industries”, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank. The project aims to promote sustainable and inclusive growth in six communities located in the SE peninsula of Trinidad and Tobago, through the promotion of LED.
The objectives of the consultancy were: (i) to support the creation of a Local Economic Development Agency, through the development of the Organizational Structure, a Strategic Plan and an Operational and Sustainability Plan for the Agency to be created,
(ii) to provide advice and other technical inputs for the construction of the LED Agency, with a Private Public Management structure that will sustain and further promote local economic development beyond the investment period of the project; and (iii) working with public and private actors and NGOs, both local and national, to incorporate them i
