The purpose of the consultancy was to carry out the mid-term evaluation of the project “Business and financial model for the sustainable cultivation of macadamia by small farmers”, executed by Banco de Ahorro y Crédito ADOPEM (responsible for reimbursable financing) and Empresa Comercializadora Los Montones S.A. The objective of the project is to implement a business and financial model to enable small producers to diversify their production into macadamia as a non-seasonal, higher-value, higher-productivity product and gain access to high-value markets, as a solution to help increase the income of small Dominican producers.
