Development of a Preference Mechanism for Market Access for Agricultural Products Produced in a Sustainable Manner

The general objective of this consultancy was to systematize the intervention model of the project “Development of a Preference Mechanism for Access to Markets for Agricultural Products Produced in a Sustainable Manner”, executed by the Dominican Agribusiness Board (JAD) through the Dominican Republic Agribusiness Exchange (BARD) in coordination with the Innovation Laboratory of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB Lab). The objective of the systematization is that the project can be implemented in other agricultural product markets, which is why it included everything from how the problem was addressed, to how the solution enabled the addition of new producers, the motivation to change to more sustainable production and the development of a feasible model for marketing agroecological products in public auctions.
The project seeks the sustainable development of the commercialization of agroecological products at the national level through three components: i) Increased production of agroecological items, ii) Increased commercialization of agroecological items through BARD, and iii) Generation and dissemination of knowledge.
